Smanjenje te\u017eine je samo jedan od ciljeva bavljenja fitnesom, a sve je to mogu\u0107e uz disciplinu i motivaciju. Godine 1930. osnovana je posebna, \u017eenska komuna pod originalnim nazivom <em>Women\u2019s League of Health and Beauty, <\/em>koja je u redovnim, vremenskim periodima odr\u017eavala treninge, prete\u010de dana\u0161njim otvorenim treninzima s ciljem podizanja svesti o zna\u010daju fizi\u010dke aktivnosti, pogotovo lep\u0161em polu. Treninzi su odr\u017eavani na velikim, naj\u010de\u0161\u0107e otvorenim ili zatvorenim prostorima, uz dinami\u010dnu muziku, gde su devojke od prostih, pa sve do slo\u017eenijih pokreta trenirale svoje mi\u0161i\u0107e i izdr\u017eljivost cele posture. Ova liga je postala toliko popularna, do nivoa nacionalnog fenomena, jer je \u017eenski fitnes i te kako dobio na svojoj veli\u010dini. Deset godina kasnije, takozvano zlatno doba je istovremeno potenciralo glamurozne momente i va\u017enost fizi\u010dke aktivnosti u svakodnevnom \u017eivotu. Danas je ova disciplina toliko popularna i tra\u017eena, da su pored posebnih istoimenih grupnih treninga osnovani specijalizovani, aerobik centri. Godine 1990. <strong>tae-bo <\/strong>je postao jedna od omiljenih kombinacija prethodno spomenutih disciplina, gde se po prvi put borila\u010dke ve\u0161tine uklju\u010duju u rutinu pripadnica lep\u0161eg pola. U najnovijem milenijumu, polako se izlazi iz zone komfora jer fitnes dobija oblik <strong>uli\u010dnog plesa <\/strong>(<em>eng. Street Dance<\/em>)<strong>, <\/strong>koji i danas podrazumeva brze pokrete u skladu sa instrumentalnom muzikom. Od 2010. godine, <strong>zumba <\/strong>je postala svetski fenomen, izuzetno tra\u017een fitnes pravac \u010diji jedan trening aktivira celokupno telo i zadovoljava sve ciljeve fitnesa.
